Hyp! throw their next party with Dirtybird's and Hemlock's head honchos with an exclusive mix from Julio BashmoreShareLink copied ✔️March 3, 2010MusicIncomingTextFlora Yin-Wong Hyp! Hyp! Hyp! invite the legendary Dirtybird label boss Claude VonStroke all the way from San Francisco and London's own Hemlock Recordings to bring together a night fusing dubstep, techno, garage, and house into undefinable sub-genres. Both labels who release forward-thinking electronic music, from VonStroke's wonky tech-house to Untold's snappy percussive dubstep, will take over the night at Plan B held by Hyponik, seeing dance music in its most diverse forms. Sets will come from Bristol newcomer, Julio Bashmore who caught the ears of Dirtybird, leading to his recent signing with his 'Um Bongo's Revenge' EP featuring heavy built-up basslines and surprisingly, bongos. Alongside releases from house DJs like Justin and Christian Martin, London's bassiest Zombie Disco Squad, and tech-house remix genius Style of Eye on the label, Dazed Digital present his new mix throwing together dubstep influences and house tracks. Taking over Room Two will be one of London’s leading labels, Hemlock Recordings from producer Untold who has pushed forward his unique sound of blending grime and ambient dubstep with their releases from part time Mount Kimbie collaborator James Blake, whilst support on the night comes from the likes of Mumdance from Mad Decent, Fantastic Mr. Fox & Rich Reason, and Rinse FM show host Scratcha DVA (with recent tracks signed to Kode 9’s Hyperdub) who left his grime past to mix soca-rhythms and African percussion for a UK Funky route.ROOM 1: Hyp!Hyp!Hyp!Claude VonStroke / Mumdance / Scratcha DVA / Julio Bashmore / P45 / Hyponik DJ SquadROOM 2: Hemlock RecordingsUntold / James Blake (DJ Set) / LV / Fantastic Mr Fox B2B Rich ReasonHyp!Hyp!Hyp! at Plan B, 418 Brixton Road, SW9 7AY - Friday 12th March 10PM – 5AM.
