After Brodi’s Paris Social Club trip, Dazed hooked up with long time London club stalwarts Zombie Disco Squad. In particular Nat Self (his partner in ZDS is Lucas Hunter) who alongside having some of the best merch in the game and being the newest anchor on Diesel:U:Music Radio, has a residency at Berlin’s infamous Panorama at Jesse Rose’s Made To Play night smashing out twisted house and other electronic goodies. Check out ZDS on Turbo, Dirtybird, Made To Play and Man Recordings. Oh and the London leg of the Diesel:U:Music World Tour hits the P3 space on Thursday 1st October with The Big Pink, Heartsrevolution, Crazy Cousinz and Joker.

Saturday 6.09pm: Berlin
I had the privilege to get a ride from the airport with Barclay Creanshaw aka Claude VonStroke and we had a little sit down and interview (I'm doing a special Dirtybird show on the radio to celebrate the release of Bird Brain, his new album). I'm so pleased he was a nice guy. It's the worst when you meet your heroes and they turn out to be dicks. A quick nap now and then pre-Panorama dinner.

Sunday 9.34am: Berlin
Wow. Just got home. Had a great dinner with Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin and Jesse Rose. We ate at Jesse's favourite joint - an Italian that does the best fig and parma ham pasta ever - that stuff makes me hard. Lucas (the other half of ZDS) and I headed over to the club for our slot after dinner - we do the warm up of 12am - 4am. Our sets at Panorama normally go something like this...

Have the ritual shot at the beginning of the night with all the staff. Start playing some super relaxed music (still house but slow like 114 - 115bpm) for the first hour. As a few more people arrive we have the horrible job of having to really hold back. Although at normal clubs 1.30am - 2am is peak time, at Panorama it's only the very beginning (the club is open 12am - 12am) so we have to be super careful not to overdo it. The crowd will complain if they dislike the music - one DJ whose name I won't mention played and the whole club just stood and stared at him for his set, with no one dancing... ouch.

My god what a relief when the floor fills and people start making approving noises. Getting the crowd to cheer there is a feeling no orgasm or drugs can match. We finish up at 4am buzzing on adrenaline and hand it over to Claude VonStroke who does a sterling job. During his set I meet a nice young lady - things progress with her as you would expect - and Justin Martin comes on at 6.30am. I must admit as sweet as she was I became much more interested in dancing than snogging her. Justin straight out smashed it, the best set I heard this year and I wasn't even high.

Monday 3am: Berlin
Argh can't sleep. I've being trying to start editing some samples for a remix of a massive dance classic we're doing, but am too tired. I'm flicking between 'About A Boy' in German and the sexy channel on the TV - neither are doing it for me...
