Fashion / ShowStella McCartney Womenswear A/W10Sharp cuts and simple shapes take over at McCartney.ShareLink copied ✔️March 9, 2010FashionShowPhotographyMorgan O'DonovanStella McCartney Womenswear A/W10 Instantly wearable and flattering tailoring has always been Stella McCartney's signatures and for A/W 10-11, like many other designers, she has cleaned it all up to sharpen her tailoring further. It began with an immaculately cut grey coat with a notched lapel and then moved into a stark beige and black stripe on a sweater with slightly cropped trousers and a shift dress. What then ensued were different feats of restraint as tops were used to showcase shape and cut and legs were left bare and unadorned. A slightly sixties looking high necked polo shape was introduced as well as sportier elements seen in the quilted hooded jackets and waistcoats. These retro futurisms then gave way to some embellishment in the end were sheer layers allowed sequins to shine through and a delicate lace pattern to be revealed. There were also simple jewel toned dresses that were short in the front and floor length at the back, asserting the importance of cut once again.Visit our Entire Paris Fashion Week coverage » Escape the algorithm!
