Inspired by traditional boots made for factory workers, farmers, and blacksmiths, Timberland present their Abington collection.

American footwear brand, Timberland, first launched its 'Abington' collection in October 2008 which has now grown to see a new addition to their original three styles of 'Hiker', 'Cupsole' and 'Roll-Top' for autumn/winter 2009, the 'Guide Boot'. Crafted from premium leathers from both Horween Leather Company of Chicago and Charles F. Stead & Co. Ltd. of Leeds, England, all of the shoes feature quilted leather linings for warmth and comfort, whilst the premium outsoles allow for ultimate traction and outdoor performance.

Each pair in this limited collection is wrapped in tissue paper designed by illustrator Heather Hernon, with hand-drawn boot making tools, shoe components, landscapes, round wooden barns and other images nostalgic of pre-industrial New England that inspire Timberland.
