Looking closer however, the true innovation in design becomes apparent, as each piece is meticulously created from recycled, commonplace household goods. Hair combs, paper towels and brightly coloured straws abound, and yet there is little question in the coveted desirability of the individual pieces. Stand out pieces included a tasseled dress made entirely from multi coloured shoelaces and a one-legged jumpsuit made from shreds of old jeans. In times of financial hardship, Margiela is truly pushing the boundaries of economically viable recession wear. You need to have the Macromedia Flash plugin installed to be able to play this video.
