Nitsos then filmed a model wearing a calico jumpsuit by Dimitrousis and then he proceeded to throw paint on the model, with the rain washing out the dye. Then the sun came out and the whole backdrop transformed into a palette of colours. “Paint becomes a tool in the hands of Ioannis who gradually transforms and reshapes the skinny body of the model by simply letting the colour, together with the water slowly sink into the fabric, letting it form original patterns on its own accord,” explains Nitsos. The end result is a three dimensional corpse, and the whole video becomes a representation of the life journey: “The gradual transformation of the scene demonstrates the model in different moments in time and space; reflecting about the past, present and future. The mixing and the running of the dyes portray the different stages in life where we could stop where we are, or continue our journey till death and eternity.”Film: Roberta NitsosFashion: Ioannis DimitrousisEditing and Sound Mix: Roberta NitsosMusic: BiosphereModel: Florian P @ M&PYou need to have the Macromedia Flash plugin installed to be able to play this video.
