Cassette Playa aka Carri Mundane and Nike's relationship began when a pair of CP Air Maxes came stomping out for the S/S 07 "L.S.I." show. It then progressed into a video gaming experience where Nike's Split Windrunner and CP invaded Selfridges. Carri has also styled and art directed "Dunk Be True", an exhibition in London's East End about the iconic Nike Dunk.

So it seems only natural that Cassette Playa and Nike collaboration launches for the public to buy, starting with the CP X Nike Blazer. It was first created for Cassette Playa's S/S 08 "Future Primitive" show, a collection that was inspired by an imaginary apolocalyptic city where skaters and Amazonian hunting rituals existed.

"CP X NIKE BLAZER is a mutated lizard toxic monster! Fossilized in crystal, it is vomited up in a volcanic eruption from the centre of the earth and begins to emit a weird and toxic virus," says Carrie of the new life form that threatens to invade your feet.
