His somewhat ambiguous narratives embrace moments of clarity and structure interspersed with comical faces and sketchy depictions of an explicit nature. Isoe was hugely influenced by his extensive travels which you can see in his work which comment on his social surroundings: the habits of those he comes into contact with, the nightlife he enjoys, the sense of exploitation and addiction ever present in modern life. In his attempts to capture modern society and the human essence, his loose application of paint coupled with fine draftsmanship make for a captivating pictorial plane.Born in Perth in 1981, Charlie Isoe eusually works with canvas or on outside walls in the urban environment of many a country he has resided in from Thailand, Slovenia to the Czech Republic and Bosnia, Isoe’s work reflects his surroundings and life experiences with deft artistry. 14 May – 25 June 2010 - Lazarides Gallery, 8 Greek Street, London, W1D 4DG Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREWhy did Satan start to possess girls on screen in the 70s?Learn the art of photo storytelling and zine making at Dazed+LabsSalomon SportstyleLord Apex brings together community for 20 years of Salomon’s ACS PRO8 essential skate videos from the 90s and beyond with Glue SkateboardsThe unashamedly queer, feminist, and intersectional play you need to seeParis artists are pissed off with this ‘gift’ from Jeff KoonsA Seat at the TableVinca Petersen: Future FantasySnarkitecture’s guide on how to collide art and architectureBanksy has unveiled a new anti-weapon artworkVincent Gallo: mad, bad, and dangerous to knowGet lost in these frank stories of love and loss
