Last week, his new exhibition 'Season Of The Witch' opened at Cube PR, providing an overview of all his archive pieces as well as showcasing a new body of work. "It's the most personal exhibition I've had in London in a long time," he explains. Sangra has been living between Paris and New York for some time, but he returned to his hometown last January. He grew up in a London hair salon, and, being surrounded by the magazines lying around, it became natural for him to start drawing over them. One of the exhibits at Cube consists of framed sketchbooks and scrapbooks featuring scribbles over 60s pornographic images, and there is also a painting inspired by the Mexican film Santa Sangre. Season Of The Witch is, however, only the latest feather in this polymath's cap, he has also been working on numerous video projects, and has just completed videos for Goldielocks and Metronomy.'Season of the Witch' at Cube PR, 47 Lambs Conduit Street, WC1 until June 22.
