Despite her hyphenated, whimsical name, Faith-Ann is not from the American South. In fact, the Japanese-German-French writer/photographer/artist was born in the deeper south in Sydney, Australia. She was logically named after the two grand dames in her life: her Grandmother Faith and her mother Ann. The hyphen is just for kicks.
