The Dazed cover star appeared at no less than 43 shows last season: it’s safe to say she’s definitely one to watch
It’s likely you’ll recognise breakout model Shanelle Nyasiase. Not only did she appear on the cover of Dazed’s spring 2018 issue, styled in Comme des Garçons by creative director Robbie Spencer and photographed by Viviane Sassen, she also stormed the runway in no less than 43 (yes, you read that correctly) shows for AW18. She stepped out for Gucci, Versace, Burberry, Givenchy and basically any other brand you care to mention across the four fashion capitals.
Having appeared in Alexander McQueen’s SS18 campaign, the South Sudanese model – who was born in Ethiopia and now lives in Kenya – also graced the brand’s AW18 show invites, and took over the Dazed’s Instagram backstage. For Nyasiase, though, it was opening and closing at Loewe that took the top spot as her favourite moment of the season. As for next season and whether she’ll top her 43 shows? We’re going with highly likely – watch this space.
