The New York-based model and dancer looks even better off the runway as he does on it
After being scouted on Instagram while studying dance and acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, Alton Mason made his fashion debut back at Kanye West’s enormous Yeezy Season 3 show at Madison Square Garden. Although he went on to pick up jobs for NY brands like Eckhaus Latta and Telfar, it was getting cast by Gucci for AW17 that marked his first major runway moment.
From there, Mason has gone from strength to strength. He’s walked shows as diverse as Ann Demeulemeester and Fenty x Puma, and showed off his dance skills – previously honed in low-key gigs like performing with Puff Daddy at the VMAs – in Gucci’s Northern Soul inspired pre-fall 2017 campaign.
That’s not to mention the fact that his off-duty style easily earns him the accolade of being one of the best dressed male models out there, effortlessly pulling off everything from logo-covered Balenciaga to python loafers and flares.
With a strong presence at January’s menswear shows, you won’t have long to wait to see more of him on June’s SS19 circuit.
