“It’s time for real girls with real personalities to step forward,” Binx declared when she fronted the Dazed’s States of Independence issue earlier this year, repping America’s new wave of rebellious creatives. The motorbike-riding, football-playing Tennessee tomboy certainly has personality – fearless and outspoken, she’s leading the way for the next generation of models. This year she’s toughened up tweed in Chanel’s AW14 campaign and led Lagerfeld’s SS15 feminist protest – all with her signature devil may care attitude.

What’s your favourite song of 2014?

Binx: I liked “Crazy” by Lil Boosie and “Look at Wrist” by Father.

What’s the most exciting thing about the fashion industry today?

Binx: That it can all change in a second.

What new skill did you learn this year?

Binx: Whistling.

What’s the most surprising thing we’d find out if we looked at your phone?

Binx: What I write in my notes.

Who should have been at number one on the Dazed 100?

Binx: Whoever owns the Illuminati.
