Bringing along 90s legends Robert 'I'll Be Your Friend' Owens and Danny Rampling, see the exclusive film of the house crew going shopping with Dazed Digital for some retro garms last week to wear on the big night. RAVE JAMS Armand Van Helden - The Funk Phenomena - Our favorite song by our favorite producer of our favorite decade, Armand even grew up in Boston (our hometown). A precursor to his speed garage hits, this one is full of hip-hop attitude and booty shaking beats. Aly-Us - Follow Me - An NYC house classic on one of our favorite labels from the 90's, Strictly Rhythm. Love is the message! Wink - Higher State Of Consciousness - Josh Wink is an East Coast boy like us and has always been a major influence. Combining an acid line with a breakbeat is pure genius. Underworld - Born Slippy - So classic we had to put it on the list, and so classic there's really nothing more we can say. Double 99 - Ripgroove - One of the first dance tracks Eli bought on vinyl, it could just have the biggest bassline of all time?! SLOW JAMS R. Kelly - Bump N' Grind - My mind's telling me no, but my body's telling me yes... Soul II Soul - Keep On Moving - Our favorite Soul II Soul jam, it has the house vibe at a slow tempo and just sets the mood so perfectly. Positive vibration mon'. Maxi Priest - Close To You - So smooth it's cheesy, but always brings the romance to the dancefloor and of course in the bedroom. Luther Vandross - Power Of Love - Like we said, love is the message and as far as songs about love go, you can't beat Luttha! Notorious B.I.G. - Big Poppa - So many memories grinding to this one at high school house parties. R.I.P. B.I.G. Soul Clap's Yo Yo Yo 90s Jam will also be joined by Rob Mello, Martin 'Liberty' Larner at Hearn Street Carpark, 7-11 Hearn St, London, EC2 3LS; Saturday 18th December 2010. Tickets here.
