You can now get married at a Lucy Dacus show

The boygenius member, who is a legally authorised wedding officiant in the US, has asked fans to register their interest via a Google Form if they’re keen to tie the knot at one of her upcoming shows

Calling all sad lesbians: you can now get married at one of Lucy Dacus’ upcoming US shows.

“Do you want to get married at one of my shows?” the Grammy-winning artist and boygenius member wrote on a recent Instagram post. “I asked last week if people would be interested if I figured out how to officiate weddings from the stage and many people said yes.”

Dacus, who is a legally authorised wedding officiant in the US, has now created a Google Form – which you can fill in here – where fans can register their interest in getting hitched at one of her US shows. To be eligible, you and your partner must have purchased tickets to Dacus’ show and have a valid marriage license (information on how to get your marriage license by state is linked on Dacus’ website).

“I can think of all sorts of reasons people may be interested in securing the rights granted through marriage (you know what I mean?), so if you’ve had it in mind forever or are just recently making the decision, I will be honored to do the honors!” Dacus wrote.

The artist has listed all of the shows where she’ll be able to officiate your wedding, from Pittsburgh to San Diego. She’s also flagged that if you’re keen to tie the knot in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Lewiston, Montreal, Vancouver, Oklahoma City, or Richmond, there may be “a few local restrictions and extra steps”.

If you’re keen to tie the knot at one of Dacus’ shows, more information is available here.
