Lana Del Rey has married alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, with the happy couple exchanging vows in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, beside the same bayou where Dufrene runs swamp boat tours.

Pictures show Del Rey being walked down a gravel aisle by her father Robert Grant, wearing a white wedding dress and touting a floral bouquet. Lana’s siblings Caroline Grant and Charlie Hill-Grant were also present for their sister’s wedding, but it’s unclear whether her mother Patricia Ann Hill was also in attendance.

TMZ first reported that the artist and her now husband had picked up a marriage license on September 23.

While unforeseen, an impromptu wedding to a 56-year-old alligator tour guide held beside a swamp is arguably incredibly on-brand for Lana. 

The wedding comes just months after the pair’s relationship went public: the artist posted a photo on Instagram referring to Dufrene as “my guy” back in May, and was spotted holding hands with Dufrene before her set at Leeds Festival in August. 

Notably, on August 31, pop culture Instagram account @thejustnlife posted a photo of Del Rey and Dufrene together, plus a screenshot of a social media post shared by someone claiming to be Dufrene’s daughter which expressed “shock” over the pairing. The post from @thejustnlife was originally captioned: “What’s your take on this developing relationship? Are these new details raising any red flags for you?”, prompting Del Rey to comment “No” and “Also, that’s not his daughter on Twitter”. She later clarified that she was not denying rumours of a relationship between herself and Dufrene.

Additionally, in a recent performance of “Chemtrails Over the Country Club,” she changed the line “He’s born in December, I’m born in June” to “He’s born in March” (Dufrene’s birthday is March 21). The couple also attended Karen Elson’s wedding together earlier this month.

The pair reportedly first met for the first time in 2019, when Dufrene let Del Rey captain one of his alligator boat tours.
