Charli xcx teases a new ‘Talk Talk’ remix with Troye Sivan

The track, also rumoured to feature Dua Lipa, comes ahead of their imminent Sweat tour

The leaves are turning brown and the nights are drawing in, but Brat Summer rages on. In the early hours of this morning (September 10), Charli xcx teased what’s supposed to be the final collab of the Brat era: a remix of “Talk Talk” featuring Troye Sivan. Rumour has it, though, that’s not all.

Earlier this week, Dua Lipa also shared a voice note addressed to Charli and Troye, saying: “Charli, Troye, un besito para ti mwah” (translation: “A little kiss for you, mwah”). Needless to say, this has prompted speculation that the singer will also appear on the reworked track. These rumours have seemingly been confirmed by producer Zhone – who worked on the Troye Sivan track “Rush” – as reported by Line of Best Fit.

The big name collaboration shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, at the end of a star-studded run for Charli xcx, which has included songs with the likes of Billie Eilish (“Guess”), Lorde (“girl, so confusing”), and Robyn and Yung Lean (“360”).

This weekend, Charli and Troye Sivan will also kick off their joint Sweat tour. “It’s going to be crazy,” Sivan told Dazed earlier this year. “it’s shaping up to be as fun as people think it’s going to be... Charli and I have had this really special journey together. We’ve collaborated a bunch of times, partied together, travelled together. She’s a really dear person to me.” Charli and Troye previously worked together back in 2018, on “1999”, followed by the 2019 sequel “2099” from Charli.

Take a look at the teaser for their new collab below.
