It looks like Aphex Twin has shared three new archival tracks, believed to be from between 2006 and 2007, to his ‘secret’ Soundcloud account.

The songs were uploaded yesterday (July 27) by user18081971. For the last eight years, the account has been drip-feeding (and sometimes quickly deleting) hundreds of the artist’s previously unreleased songs, with fans widely acknowledging that it’s Aphex himself – the username is even a direct reference to his birthday of August 18, 1971.

The new tracks, which you can stream in full below, are titled “Short Forgotten Produk Trk Omc” and “2nd Neotek Test Trac Omc”. The latter is made with a “Kawai K5m”, according to an accompanying note.

Aphex Twin – real name Richard James – is also releasing a new EP today (July 27), titled Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / In a Room7 F760.

UPDATE 31/07/2023: A new song was added this weekend, titled ‘matriarch test 3+Om1 Cass+909 edit1 F6 omc+1’. According to user18081971, the track is “unfinished” and the “only track” that they’d made on a Moog Matriarch synthesiser.

Listen to all of the previously unheard archive tracks, and the new EP, below.
