Azealia Banks shares sneak peek of her fashion anthem, ‘New Bottega’

Prada-da-da-da!

Following news of her upcoming reality show last week, Azealia Banks has teased a preview of her upcoming track “New Bottega“. Taking to Instagram, the rapper shared a screen recording of the (so far) unofficial track, which can best be described as a tribute to Italian fashion houses past and present.

With the caption “NEW BOTTEGA , PRADA-DA-DA-DA!” in reference to the song’s chorus, the track opens with a thumping house beat, as Banks lists off: “I like the Gucci, the Miu Miu, Missoni, new Cavalli/ Vintage Armani, Ferragamo.” OK there may be a point around halfway where she slides into a less-than-convincing Italian accent – it’s giving Lady Gaga in House of Gucci – but if the melody and earworm hook is anything to go by, the track is sure to become an instant fashion hit.

Back in March, the rapper debuted a new track “Rule The World” at the Ottolinger show at Paris Fashion Week.

Banks first previewed “New Bottega“ on Instagram earlier this month. We‘ve yet to receive an official release – the track was meant to arrive on streaming platforms last Friday – but you can listen to a clip below.
