Following on from her official debut Nightmare Vacation in 2020, the Maryland rapper has spent the last year releasing a slew of singles and collabs including “Money” with Flo Milli and “SIMP” with Lil Mariko. Her new material builds on her ever-evolving sound, experimenting with elements of dance music in ways that are both new and exciting yet unmistakably Rico. “All my thoughts are intrusive,” she spits on opener “Intrusive”, an aggressive drum and bass track delivered in the artist’s menacing rasp. “Messy” sees her pair up with fellow rap weirdo Teezo Touchdown on a vibrant pop crooner, while “Watch Your Man”, featuring EDM superstar Marshmello, is a two-minute bassline rager, as Rico makes her intentions loud and clear: “If you don't like me, shut the fuck up”. Elsewhere, Billie Eilish releases a two-track acoustic EP, Flo Milli shares her highly anticipated debut, and quinn releases a self-titled album.
