Watch Portishead perform live for the first time in seven years

The band performed alongside IDLES as part of War Child’s UK Ukraine benefit concert

Last night, Portishead made an appearance at the War Child UK benefit gig for Ukraine at O2 Academy in Bristol, performing live for the first time since 2015.

The Bristol trio performed five songs – “Mysterons”, “Wandering Star” and “Roads” from 1997’s Dummy, and “Magic Doors” and “The Rip” from 2008’s Third. The band last played at Benicàssim Festival seven years ago.

Elsewhere on the bill were local icons IDLES, along with sets by Billy Nomates, Katy J Pearson, Heavy Lungs, Willie J Healy and Wilderman.

Watch extracts of Portishead’s set below.
