FKA twigs announces new soundtrack single ‘Measure of a Man’

Set to appear in the upcoming film The King’s Man, the track also features London rapper Central Cee

FKA twigs has announced a new song featuring the London rapper Central Cee, set to arrive next week (November 18). Titled “Measure of a Man”, the track will feature on the soundtrack to the upcoming film The King’s Man.

“Measure of a Man” is twigs’ first single since the Headie One and Fred Again-featuring “Don’t Judge Me”, which arrived alongside a momentous music video in January this year.

It also marks the debut of Marv Music, a joint venture between Warner Music Group and Marv, a British production company owned by The King’s Man director Matthew Vaughn. Vaughn is additionally credited as a writer on the song, which will be released in collaboration with Parlophone.

The King’s Man itself is a prequel to the popular Kingsman movies The Secret Service and The Golden Circle. The film will premiere in cinemas December 22.

FKA twigs released her second studio album, MAGDALENE, in 2019 (making it into Dazed’s favourites of that year). More recently, the musician fronted a global campaign to end domestic and sexual violence, while some of her older material came to light via Young’s new online archive.

Central Cee’s debut mixtape, Wild West, came in March 2021.
