The singer put her bunny outfit back on in honour of her husband Carl Dean’s birthday yesterday (July 20). In a video shared on Twitter, Parton rocked her little black leotard, bunny ears, gloves, and pink sequin cuffs, as she wished Dean a #HotGirlSummer. “Hey,” she said to the camera, “today is July 20, it’s my husband Carl’s birthday. You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this, well, this is for my husband’s birthday.” She continued: “Remember, some time back, I said I was going to pose in Playboy magazine when I was 75? Well I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy, so I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years, and I’m not going to try and talk him out of that. I hope he agrees. What do you think?” Parton then explained that she’d had a photoshoot to recreate the cover, which she displayed side-by-side in a framed picture with the original – undeniably the perfect birthday gift. When she’s not shooting in her bunny outfit, Parton is saving the world by funding crucial research for the COVID-19 vaccine. The singer donated $1 million (£755k) to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, whose work inspired Moderna’s research model for the effective vaccine. “What better time right now, we need this,” Parton said at the time. “I felt like this was the time for me to open my heart and my hand, and try to help.” Watch Parton’s Playboy birthday video below.
