Watch the video for Tyler, the Creator’s new track, ‘Lumberjack’

The musician has sparked rumours about a new full-length project with a series of teasers in the last few weeks

Tyler, the Creator is back with new music, following a string of teasers over the last week, which have fuelled speculation that his sixth studio album is in the works.

Titled “Lumberjack”, the new song — which samples Gravediggaz’ 1994 track “2 Cups of Blood” — also arrives alongside a short music video that sees him get a manicure, before braving the elements outside his Dr. Seuss-style home. Watch below.

Earlier this week, Tyler stoked rumours that the follow-up to his last full-length project, 2019’s Igor, is on the way, sharing a mysterious phone number on a billboard in Hollywood. When fans called the number, they were directed to a pre-recorded conversation between the rapper and his mum (who similarly gets a shoutout on “Lumberjack”).

Later on, the hotline was updated to feature a preview of new music. The musician also shared the number via Twitter, and posted a picturesque visual teaser on Instagram, titled “Side Street”.

The phrase “call me if you get lost” has so far recurred throughout the various teasers, and can also be seen at the end of the new “Lumberjack” video. New Tyler era incoming?

Watch the video for “Lumberjack” and listen to the whole track below. Revisit Dazed’s feature on Tyler, the Creator’s conceptual breakup album, Igor, here.
