Billie EIlish officially cancels her Where Do We Go? world tour

‘The best thing we can do for everyone is to get the money back into your hands as soon as we can’

Earlier this year, Billie Eilish announced the cancellation of her 2020 “Where Do We Go?” tour dates, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The dates were then set to be rescheduled for 2021. Now, the singer has provided an update, and it’s not good news for eager fans.

“I wish that I could have seen you on tour this year,” she writes in a statement posted to social media. “I’ve missed performing for you and being on stage so much I can’t even tell you.”

“We’ve tried as many different scenarios as possible for the tour but none are possible and, although I know so many of you want to hold onto your tickets and VIP passes, the best thing we can do for everyone is to get the money back into your hands as soon as we can.”

Despite the official cancellation of the tour, Eilish has managed to perform for fans virtually – via her “Where Do We Go?” livestream concert – and released a short film about body shaming titled Not My Responsibility, which was set to be used as an interlude during her remaining tour dates.

Earlier this week, she also reflected on the pandemic in her fourth yearly Vanity Fair interview, saying: “I will say that I have made and created things that I don’t think I ever would have created without this period of time. I would like things to be normal again, but I’m grateful for what it’s given me.”
