Billie Eilish explores an empty mall in the video for ‘Therefore I Am’

The singer self-directed the carefree visuals that accompany the new single

Having teased its release over the last couple of days, Billie Eilish has shared her new single, “Therefore I Am”. As promised, the track also comes alongside a self-directed video, which sees her make the most of social distancing as she dances through an empty shopping centre.

The song and video – which was shot at the Glendale Galleria – follows two other Billie Eilish singles in 2020. In July she released “my future”, which itself followed the record-breaking James Bond theme song “No Time To Die”, unveiled back in February.

Nevertheless, Finneas (her brother and producer) has said that a new album is unlikely to surface until COVID-19 is over. Of course, that hasn’t stopped Eilish from performing a live, virtual concert for fans, which she staged last month, along with a live performance of “No Time To Die” on The Tonight Show

A long-awaited Apple TV+ documentary on the singer is also slated to arrive in early 2021, titled The World’s a Little Blurry. Before then, Billie will perform “Therefore I Am” for the first time during the November 22 American Music Awards.
