Beabadoobee shares a new single, ‘Together’, ahead of her debut album

The full record, Fake It Flowers, is set to release later this week

Beabadoobee has released the latest song and video from her forthcoming debut album, Fake It Flowers. Titled “Together”, the track is the final single to arrive before the full record’s release via Dirty Hit later this week, on Friday (October 16).

“This song is about the dependency you have with someone and missing that when you’re away and learning to be by yourself,” the musician and Dazed 100er says. “It’s written from that point when you’re feeling alone and thinking everything is better when you’re with that other person.”

As with videos for previous Fake It Flowers singles – such as “Care” and “Sorry”, both released earlier this year – the visuals for “Together” come courtesy of the director duo bedroom.

Having appeared on this year’s Dazed 100, Beabadoobee’s creative project was selected for funding as part of the Dazed 100 Ideas Fund with Converse. In September, she taught free songwriting workshops as part of the Dazed 100 Academy workshop series. Revisit the highlights and best advice from the songwriting workshop here, and listen to “Together” below.
