Punk rock, hardcore, and rap songs by the likes of Rage Against the Machine, the Dead Kennedys, Suicidal Tendencies, Primus, Mos Def, and more were featured in the series, which proved hugely influential on a generation of young musicians. Now, the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 games are being remastered for the current generation of consoles, and the soundtracks are coming with them. While some songs couldn’t be secured for the games due to licensing restrictions, a teaser trailer for the remasters boasts tracks by some of the aforementioned artists, as well as Bad Religion, Goldfinger, and more. The teaser is soundtracked by one of the first game’s most distinctive tracks, the Dead Kennedys’ “Fire Truck”. The remastered versions are being released as a single package for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 4. Watch the teaser below. Escape the algorithm!
