Selena Gomez will star in a new, quarantine-themed cooking show

The series will see the pop star link up with master chefs (remotely, OFC)

If you’re not just lying down a lot and browsing memes in a state of despair during quarantine, chances are you’ve been trying your hand at some new recipes in the kitchen. Well, so has Selena Gomez, and the pop star is set to share some of what she’s learnt in a new, currently-untitled cooking show.

The series – which is slated to premiere this summer, according to Deadline – will feature several ‘master chefs’, who will connect with Gomez remotely to explore different cuisines and share tips for the kitchen. Each episode will also shine light on a food-related charity.

“I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food,” says Gomez, who will also executive-produce the show. “I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef.”

“I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”

Besides cooking, the Dazed cover star has recently shared everything she’s been doing and watching during quarantine, listing a vast array of songs, films, TV shows, books, podcasts, and Instagram accounts to help people get through lockdown.
