In an attempt to fill the gaping void in our hearts, the festival is sharing playlists of artists who were booked to perform this year. Curated by stage, Glastonbury has just released its third playlist: West Holts. Featured artists include Danny Brown, Kelis, Thom Yorke, and TLC. The festival has previously shared playlists for the John Peel Stage, which included the likes of Clairo, FKA twigs, and Primal Scream, as well as the Park, featuring Phoebe Bridgers, Caribou, and Laura Marling. Writing on Twitter ahead of the first playlist (John Peel), which was shared on April 14, Glastonbury said: “We thought it’d be nice to update our main stages playlists on Spotify with the acts who would’ve been gracing those stages at #Glastonbury2020.” The festival’s 50th anniversary was set to be headlined by Kendrick Lamar, Paul McCartney, and Taylor Swift, with Diana Ross scheduled for Sunday’s legends slot. Also on the line-up was Charli XCX, Kacey Musgraves, Lana Del Rey, Robyn, and more. In honour of the festival, the BBC has announced that it will broadcast a ‘celebration of Glastonbury’ in June, to keep us all entertained during never-ending lockdown (sorry).
