Billie Eilish debuts the new Bond theme, ‘No Time To Die’

The singer will also perform the song at the 2020 Brits with Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr

Billie Eilish has revealed the theme song to the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die, which she was revealed to have written with her brother Finneas last month (January 14).

While the track features Eilish’s characteristically hushed vocals, it also sees her trading in her usual, electronic sound for the classic Bond instrumentation, beginning as a soft, piano-led ballad before bringing in dramatic strings and twangy guitar.

The lyrics also reflect the themes shown in the film’s trailer, which suggest the franchise’s attempts to modernise and add more emotional depth to the character (as does the choice of Billie Eilish in the first place, as the youngest artist to ever take on the theme tune).

The announcement of the song on social media also includes the fact that the singer will perform the song live at the 2020 Brit Awards February 18, accompanied by Finneas, Hans Zimmer, and Johnny Marr.
