2020 kicked off with what felt like the longest January on record – but at least it gave us some fine music. 070 Shake dropped her debut album, Megan Thee Stallion returned with a bang, and J Hus beat the leaks with his stellar second full-length.

Bubbling beneath the surface, unconventional UK songwriter LA Priest showed us “What Moves” with a truly funky new song, PC Music’s Planet 1999 brought the “Party” on their latest single, and Douglas Dare conveyed “The Joy in Sarah’s Eyes” with a divine new track.
