The rapper died aged 21 following a seizure at Chicago’s Midway Airport yesterday

Tributes have poured in for Jarad Anthony Higgins, AKA Chicago-born rapper and singer Juice WRLD, following his death aged 21 yesterday (December 8).

Fans and collaborators, from Travis Scott to Lil Nas X, have all offered their condolences after Higgins suffered a seizure in Chicago’s Midway Airport. Authorities confirmed he died following a “medical emergency” .

Travis Scott, who previously worked with Juice WRLD on Astroworld, shared a photo of the two together in the studio on Instagram Stories, writing “You will live on forever.”

“Heartbreaking. Rest in peace,” said Jared Leto, who has performed a mashup of Juice WRLD, Post Malone, and Khalid with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars.

“He knows our hearts. I really wish we had more talks like that one night in LA. Dude. This is ridiculous. Millions of people, not just in Chicago but around the world are hurting because of this and don’t know what to make of it. Im sorry. Love you and God bless your soul,” said fellow Chicago musician Chance the Rapper.

“I would like to see all the younger talent live longer and I hate waking up hearing another story filled with blessings was cut short,” Drake wrote on Instagram.

“RIP Juice. So sad how often this is happening lately to young talented rising artists,” said Lil Nas X on Twitter.

“Rest in paradise man,” Billie Eilish shared on Instagram Stories.
