Listen to Teyana Taylor’s new single ‘How You Want It?’

It’s the singer’s first release since last year’s Kanye West-produced album K.T.S.E.

The last we heard from Teyana Taylor – in terms of her own releases, at least – was the Kanye West-produced K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy) released in June 2018. As of yesterday (August 2) though, the singer has a new track out, titled “How You Want It?” (or “HYWI?”).

Featuring King Combs, “How You Want It?” is essentially three minutes 43 seconds of dirty talk (not that that’s a bad thing). Kanye isn’t involved this time, but Taylor has suggested that there’s an album in the works, saying: “It’s definitely gonna come out this year… I’m gonna do whatever I have to do to make sure it get out,” on Elton John’s Beats 1 radio show in March.

The new single also comes with a video, directed by Teyana Taylor herself and featuring both her and King Combs. Expect some big 90s/early 2000s vibes.

Earlier this year Teyana Taylor also released another self-directed video for “Issues/Hold On” off K.T.S.E, featuring 70s visuals and A$AP Rocky with an afro.
