The Canadian artist wrote on Twitter yesterday that it’s “2 ambitious/taking too long” to finish – but for now, at least, there is new music for fans to hear. As she explained, she’s going to be uploading demos to YouTube in the build-up to the album’s release, starting with the song “Pretty Dark”. Grimes said on Twitter that “Pretty Dark” is a “sad fairy song” from her “weird AR musical”. The song and video were made in her bedroom yesterday, “so it’s rough”.
