Massive Attack’s Mezzanine tour has been postponed due to illness

Next week’s US and Canada dates have been pushed back to autumn

Massive Attack set out on a tour celebrating their iconic 1998 album Mezzanine in late January, beginning in Glasgow (January 28). Now, though, they’ve shared the unfortunate news that the next leg of the tour will be put on hold.

The Mezzanine XXI tour was supposed to continue with dates in North America and Canada next week, but “due to illness” the shows have been postponed until autumn (or “fall”, same thing, isn’t it?).

The announcement was initially made on Facebook with an apology. Of course there was the usual barrage of complaints about cancelled plans etc, alongside the slightly more sensitive hopes that whoever’s ill makes a quick recovery.

Hopefully, whoever it is, they’ve not been breathing in too much Mezzanine-encoded spray paint (you never know). Get well soon, Massive Attack!
