A new Wu-Tang Clan doc will premiere at Sundance this month

The series will also air on TV this spring

A four part docuseries on Wu-Tang Clan, titled Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men, has been acquired by Showtime and is slated to appear on TV this spring. First, though, two episodes of the hip hop doc will premiere at Sundance, on January 28.

It won’t be one to miss for fans of the Wu, either, featuring interviews with all nine of the group’s living members. It will be directed by Sacha Jenkins, who previously helmed Fresh Dressed (a look at the history of urban fashion) and Burn Motherfucker, Burn! (a film about tensions between the LAPD and the African-American community).

If that’s not enough, though, Shomi Patwary’s documentary on the group’s seminal debut album, For The Children: 25 Years of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), released last November.

Alongside De La Soul and Public Enemy, Wu-Tang Clan will visit the UK on their Gods of Rap tour in May, performing in London, Manchester, and Glasgow.
