Ariana Grande says farewell to 2018 in heartfelt Instagram message

Thank u, next

Ariana Grande waved in the new year in a reflective post on Instagram, shining a light on the turbulent year that was 2018.

For the “thank u, next” singer, the year was a tough one. She faced PTSD following the Manchester arena bombing, the death of Mac Miller, the rapper who the singer dated for two years, and a high-profile break from her fiancé Pete Davidson.

“farewell 2018, you fuck,” she said in the post to her 141 million followers alongside, of course, a selfie. “i hope this new year brings you all much laughter, clarity and healing.”

She continued: “be gentle with yourselves and each other. if we made it thru this last year, we’ll for sure make it thru this one. thank you for everything.”

See the post below, and be sure to remember Grande’s tender words when you’re not having the best time ever in 2019.
