The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

Nas and Santigold were dropped from Lauryn Hill's Miseducation tour

Apparently there are ‘production issues’

Lauryn Hill is currently touring her seminal album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, in full, to celebrate its 20th anniversary. But things aren’t going quite as smoothly as she might have hoped.

Oregon-based KBCY reports that supporting acts Nas and Santigold were cut from Hill’s performance in Portland on Wednesday, with no prior warning to fans who had bought tickets expecting to see the full lineup.

Afterwards, Brooklyn singer Santigold addressed the cancellation on Twitter, apologising to fans and saying that she had seen a note from Hill’s management that read: “Due to production issues, The Miseducation 20th Anniversary Tour is unable to accommodate Santigold’s performance this evening.” In a later tweet, she also announced the tour organisers’ decision to “reduce the support” for the rest of the tour, resulting in her performances being cut for the remaining days.

Public statements have yet to be made by both Nas and Lauryn Hill herself, while it remains unclear which dates, if any, Nas will be attending.
