Nicki Minaj clarifies comments on Travis Scott, or the ‘Auto-Tune man’

‘I’m legendary in these streets’

On Tuesday night’s episode of Queen Radio on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Nicki Minaj was at it again with shading the success of Travis Scott’s album, Astroworld, as well as his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

“What we're not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling fucking sweaters and telling y’all he sold half a million fucking albums because he didn't”, Minaj stated on her show, referring to the 26-year-old rapper.

She continued:“You stupid fuck. You got your fucking homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it. Knock it the fuck off”, in reference to Jenner.

“When (Travis) comes along and sells a tour pass that has nothing to do with his fucking music and says he’s sold more than Kanye West and Nas – no you fucking didn’t, keep it the fuck real,” she added. “I know I’m that bitch, I know I’m number one”.

After this, Minaj wanted to clarify that she is not actually angry, stating: “Having said that, none of this is some serious anger shit. No, we are in a time right now where black music is prospering,” referencing the fact that both she and Scott hold the top spots on the Billboard 200 chart. “And I am one of the people who (is prospering), I’m so excited to see where rap has come from and where we are. But right is right and wrong is wrong”.

This comes after Minaj took to Twitter to accuse the Astroworld rapper of riding on Kylie Jenner’s fame for the promotion of his music, ahead of their VMA performances. She also took issue with the fact that the success of his album had included merchandise and tickets for his upcoming tour being counted towards his album sales.
