Jaden Smith has a new record out, but you can only hear it on Instagram

The 20-year-old actor and rapper’s SYRE: The Electric Album is available on IGTV now

Jaden Smith has dropped a new release exclusively on Instagram. SYRE: The Electric Album features five electric guitar reworks of “B”, “Icon”, “Ninety”, “Lost Boy”, and “Fallen”, from the 20-year-old rapper and actor’s debut album SYRE.

Clips of each track are accompanied by pink visuals, with the full-length versions available through the recently launched IGTV App, which allows users to watch longer Instagram videos in a vertical format.

Smith isn’t the only artist experimenting with Instagram to present their music – recently, Philadelphia hip hop visionary Tierra Whack released Whack World, a 15-track, 15-minute audiovisual project that maximised Instagram’s previous one-minute video time limit.

It’s not yet clear whether or not the new release will come out on other streaming services, so for now, check it out via Instagram below.
