Grimes shares working titles for new album tracklist

You might be hearing ‘thats what the drugs r 4’, ‘Darq Souls‘, and ‘Nymphs At Versailles’ soon

Grimes has been teasing her upcoming fifth album for a while now, and although she’s talked about her frustrations with the music industry leading up to its release, it looks like the album could be getting closer, as she recently shared some information about the songs she’s been working on – includling a potential album tracklist.

Posting in an Instagram story over the weekend, Grimes captioned the list with “working titlez, subject to change but just so y’all know its real”. Some of the song titles? “thats what the drugs r 4”, “Darq Souls”, and “Nymphs At Versailles”.

On Twitter, she also teased fans about a new song that she wants to release soon. “Wanna drop song soon ish so wud u pref super dark heavy ballad about fighting balrog in the center of earth that is a sex metaphor or a very not pg13 ethereal shadow of colossus demon nu metal song art insomnia?,” she wrote. “or a super lame love song i hate but other ppl dig or an elven take on train spotting soundtrack. those prob 4 main closest to being done rn”. She clarified that this drop wouldn’t be the album’s first single or indicative of the album direction.

While you should probably expect those song titles to change between now and the album’s release, it’s still exciting news. Check out the updates below.
