MusicNewsThe new Childish Gambino video is spectacularDirected by Hiro Murai, This Is America is a brutal and beguiling statement on modern day USAShareLink copied ✔️May 6, 2018MusicNewsTextDazed Digital Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has dropped a sensational video for his new single “This Is America”. Directed by Hiro Murai – who’s worked with the rapper and actor before on previous videos as well as episodes of his hit show Atlanta – the video is a stunning piece of film that confronts the everyday violence of modern day America, doing so with brutality and beauty. Choreographed by Sherrie Silver (the dancing is mesmerising, maybe that’s the point), the track features ad libs from rap kings Young Thug, Offset and 21 Savage, while SZA makes a guest appearance towards the end of the video. The video has created huge conversation since going live, with many Americans discussing what their country means to them, the references within the “This Is America” video, and what message it’s trying to convey.
