Music / NewsStranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard stars in PUP’s new videoThe young actor appears in the Canadian punk band’s ‘Sleep In The Heat’ video, reprising a role he played three years earlierShareLink copied ✔️November 18, 2016MusicNewsTextSelim Bulut Finn Wolfhard, best known for playing Mike in Stranger Things, is the star of a new music video by Canadian punk band PUP. “Sleep In The Heat” is a sequel to the band’s 2013 video for “Guilt Trip”, which also starred Wolfhard as a younger version of PUP singer Stefan Babcock. Directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Riox, “Sleep In The Heat” is an emotional video that sees PUP – once again all played by younger actors – head on tour, meeting an actual pup along the way. As PUP’s Stefan Babcock explains in a press release, the song was originally written about his chameleon Norman, who died while they were writing their latest album The Dream Is Over. “Jeremy was the one who thought we should make a video for this song,” Babcock says, “He has this really weird one-eyed grumpy cat that he loves a lot, and I guess the song got him thinking about what it's going to be like when she's gone. Losing a friend is something so many of us have had to deal with, which is why I think this video is so powerful.” “Big shoutouts to the little PUPs in this video, too,” he continues, “Watching them bond and then say goodbye to that dog is one of the most heartwarming and heartbreaking things I can imagine. RIP all of our little friends. We miss you.” This is the second Stranger Things-adjacent music video to arrive in recent weeks – Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven in the sci-fi series, recently appeared in Sigma’s video for “Find Me”.
