A Tribe Called Quest share powerful ‘We The People...’ video

The clip features an animated mural of the late Phife Dawg

Last Friday, A Tribe Called Quest shared their sixth and final studio album, We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service. The critically acclaimed LP was recorded in secret earlier this year, and released just months after the death of one of their original members, MC Phife Dawg.

Now, exactly one week later, the group have shared their first video from the album. Titled “We the People...”, the politically charged clip covers the early stages of a large street protest.

It’s a visual that reflects the current situation in the US, which is currently seeing country-wide protests against its latest president-elect, Donald Trump.  "All you black folks, you must go/ All you Mexicans, you must go/ And all you poor folks, you must go," Q-Tip raps on the track. "Muslims and gays, boy, we hate your ways/ So all you bad folks, you must go.”

The three-minute clip also features an animated tribute to MC Phife Dawg, who appears as a street art mural overlooking the city. Watch it in full above.
