Music / NewsRomain Gavras directs Jamie xx’s new videoThe visionary director helms The xx producer’s high concept new music video, which uses over 400 actorsShareLink copied ✔️July 1, 2016MusicNewsTextSelim Bulut Jamie xx has shared a new video for “Gosh”, directed by filmmaker Romain Gavras. “Gosh” appeared on the UK producer and The xx member’s 2015 album In Colour, and has already received the video treatment once before – a stargazing clip was released for it last year. Gavras’ video might not be able to beat the entire universe in terms of scale, but it’s high concept in a different way: taking place in a dystopic wasteland, it uses over 400 actors and foregoes CGI and 3D effects entirely. Gavras has previously directed big budget (and often controversial) videos for artists like M.I.A. (on “Born Free” and “Bad Girls”) and Kanye West and Jay Z (“No Church In The Wild”).
