In what may be the actual definition of #relationshipgoals, the pair – who are both reportedly in their mid-80s – turned up at the Farringdon club after reading a review for it in a Polish newspaper. They had bought tickets online to Saturday’s underground house and techno party, ‘WetYourSelf’: an event which has been run for the last 10 years by DJ and promoter Jacob Hansen. “They came when doors opened and had already planned to take the tube home when it finished at 6am,” revealed the DJ in a (now viral) Facebook post. “They were on the dancefloor doing ballroom type dancing, although not too long as she was using a crutch and didn't walk too well.” According to the Evening Standard, the pair had flown in from Warsaw to visit their daughter in Watford, and were planning on staying at Fabric until the first tube at 6am. Despite speaking very little English, Hansen ensured that they were given two free tequila shots when they arrived. “At 5am they came and said they'd like to leave so we got them a taxi,” he told the paper, dismissing some online commentator’s suspicions that the pair were a publicity stunt. “They were really happy, they loved the crowd, it was really, really great.” “In 10 years of doing this every Sunday it's the best experience I've had – it's just amazing,” he added. “My dad is 83 and came to see me play in Fabric as well, and stayed until 1.30, but they were there until the end, it's quite incredible.” Escape the algorithm!
