MusicNewsGrimes takes Halloween to new levels in her freaky videoThe Dazed coverstar dresses up as a murderous angel and a blood-soaked Marie Antoinette in ‘Flesh Without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream’ShareLink copied ✔️October 27, 2015MusicNewsTextDaisy Jones Who said that angels had to be nice all the time? Sometimes they want to rebel just like the rest of us. Although we have to say that plunging a knife into Marie Antoinette goes a bit too far, even by our standards. In Grimes’ latest self-directed video, a 2-part epic for new tracks “Flesh Without Blood” and “Life in the Vivid Dream”, the Dazed cover star plays the part of the murderous angel, a suited zorro-like middle-man and a neon-coloured Marie Antoinette-style character (who doesn’t let being stabbed ruin her walk around the gardens). The video is divided into Act 1 and Act 2 and sees the various characters dance around to the euphoric, synth-stuffed tracks amidst their blood-soaked adventures. The tracks themselves will appear on her eagerly awaited fourth album Art Angels, which she has now revealed will be available digitally on November 6, with a physical version coming on December 11.
