With a chugging guitar and Dahlström’s husked vocals, "Rock U" doesn’t sound so different from peak-period Stevie Nicks – but Niki & The Dove see it as more forward-looking. “When Kleerup played the riff for the first time, we only heard the sound of future space,” they say. Kleerup, meanwhile, was inspired by the time ”when you always recorded radio shows on Maxwell-90 min tapes.” WIth the Johnny Cash-esque lyric "I walk the line" it feels like we’re daydreaming into a retro-future – take a trip below.
