Bookended with diaphanous vocal layers and loops, the crux of TCTS' iteration circles around the lyrics "I don't want to wake up lonely" – aka going straight to the heart of vocalist Georgia Nott's anxiety. With a crisp clip and spindly tendrils, it's a new take that hones into Broods' dancing-through-heartbreak urgency, making it just that much more palatably wrenching.
